Thinking About Starting a New Business? (Read this at your own risk)
So you want to start your own business?
You want to be your own boss?
You want the freedom to come and go as please?
You want to make all the money?
You want to ‘show them’ how it’s done?
You’ve got the best idea since sliced pizza?
If you answer yes to any or all of these statements then you are certifiably insane.
But, then again, you’re not alone.
But before you try to become the next new tycoon on the block consider the following:
Your odds of succeeding are dismal---just a bit better than winning the lottery.
Your idea is probably not new and there are others doing it right now.
Most people go into business without a plan so they fail.
Most people don’t have enough financial backing to succeed.
Most people that start a business do know how to do something really well—but then know almost nothing about management or being an entrepreneur.
Most people don’t realize that their business life will ‘mirror’ their personal life.
Most people don’t realize the level of commitment it will take to succeed in business.
